Umbraco Spark 2025: A Celebration of Innovation and Community
The Umbraco Spark Innovation Conference marked its fifth edition on Friday, March 7, 2025, at We The Curious in Bristol, UK. Over the years, this annual event has become a key gathering for developers, designers, and digital professionals working with the Umbraco CMS, offering a space to share ideas, explore new innovations and connect with like-minded peers.
A New Venue: We The Curious
This year’s conference took place at We The Curious, a renowned science centre along Bristol’s Harbourside. The venue’s modern, interactive environment added to the experience, creating the perfect setting for a day of learning, networking and inspiration.
Technical Deep Dives & Innovation:
The conference primarily featured in-depth technical talks, with expert speakers from Umbraco HQ and the wider community sharing insights on Umbraco v15 and the latest advancements in Umbraco development. These sessions provided attendees with practical knowledge and forward-thinking strategies to implement in their own projects.
The Package Awards: Recognising Innovation
One of the most exciting highlights of the day was The Package Awards, introduced to recognise and celebrate the best Umbraco packages, custom-built extensions that enhance the platform’s functionality. These awards aimed to highlight innovation, reward contributors and inspire developers to create and share valuable tools.
A personal favourite of mine was the Lorem Ipsom package, which allows users to seamlessly insert dummy text directly into a rich text editor, a simple yet incredibly useful addition!
Networking, After-Party & Fantastic Food
Beyond the formal sessions, Umbraco Spark 2025 offered plenty of networking opportunities, culminating in an after-party with stunning views of Millennium Square, the Harbourside, and Bristol Cathedral. And, of course, no great conference is complete without amazing food, we were treated to delicious catering throughout the event.
From cutting-edge talks to community-driven innovation, Umbraco Spark 2025 once again proved why it’s a must-attend event for anyone passionate about Umbraco. Looking forward to next year!
